HP Squad in Chattogram to receive commando training

Commando training will be given to the cricketers of the High Performance (HP) team under the supervision of the Army to increase their mental strength. So, this time the cricketers' camp is for about four months. 25 cricketers of the Bangladesh High-Performance team reached Cox's Bazar on Sunday afternoon, and they were accompanied by coaching staff and local coaches. Their training will run from May 15 to June 1 in Cox's Bazar in the first phase.

The long-term training of the High-Performance Unit will focus on skills. Besides, there will be work on fitness. The training will be held in two phases in Sylhet and Cox's Bazar. After that, they will have the facility to play matches in Chattogram and Dhaka.

In this regard, BCB Director Khaled Mahmud Sujan said, "At the moment, we will have internal matches with this team and the Bangladesh Tigers, and there will be a skill camp. There will be training sessions in the skill camp. Where there will be more work on fitness. The skill camps will be held in Cox's Bazar, and there are plans to organise some in Sylhet as well. "

Sujan added: "This year, we had two commitments - Ireland and Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka has become a little complicated for the situation. And next year maybe we will do international tours. Champaka is here, and Tommy Redford will join next time. ''

On the other hand, regarding the HP squad, BCB chief executive Nizamuddin Chowdhury Sujan said, "We have already talked to the Bangladesh Army about the issue of psychologists, and we will try to have some sessions with the previous groups of the national team. A section called ISSB works on our military's mental skill development. We are trying our best to make our players' cognitive skills stronger.''
