5 Sunrisers Hyderabad stars could be awarded The Man of The Tournament

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) recruited 20 players to their roster, in addition to the three players they kept from the IPL 2022 mega auction. The franchise debuts in Pune on March 29 at 7.30 p.m. against the Rajasthan Royals. It's the fifth match of the season and the first meeting between the 2 squads.

The IPL 2022 will feature ten teams divided into two groups of five. CSK, RCB, PBKS, and Gujarat Lions are all in Group B with SRH.

In the IPL, SRH has been one of the most consistent teams. With the exception of 2021, when they finished last in the standings, they have made the playoffs every season.

This season, they have a decent roster, with their first XI looking particularly formidable. In this post, let’s look at five SRH players that could win the IPL 2022 Player of the Tournament Award.

Kane Williamson
With the exception of one glitch last season, Kane Williamson has done an excellent job with the team. With the release of important players David Warner, Rashid Khan, and Jonny Bairstow, the pressure has only intensified this time. Williamson has always been an important player for them, and in IPL 2022, he will play a bigger role as a batter and captain.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar
With Rashid Khan out, Bhuvi will be the SRH's go-to bowler. The franchise repurchased him for 4.2 crores. With a young set of bowlers, he'll have to spearhead the bowling attack. In the last two seasons of the IPL, he has been riddled with injuries. However, if he maintains his fitness and performs consistently for SRH, he might be a contender for Man of the Tournament in the IPL 2022.

Umran Malik
In the last few matches of the IPL 2021, Malik wowed the owners of ERH. He was eventually retained prior to the IPL 2022 season, and he is the club's best chance moving into the new season. Last season in the IPL, the cricket world witnessed his potential, and the franchise would like to see him perform even better in IPL 2022. Keep an eye on his pace, which made several batsmen nervous last year in the UAE.

Nicholas Pooran
Pooran always exudes a certain X-factor. SRH acquired him for a staggering 10.75 crores. He'll enter the IPL in good shape, having just played a few solid innings against India in a T20I series. Given his talent and X-factor, the southpaw might be a candidate for Man of the Tournament.

Marco Jansen
SRH brought in Jansen as one of their international players. In the second leg of the IPL 2021, he was a member of the Mumbai Indians. He recently participated in a Test series against India, picking up two wickets in the process. He, too, has raw speed that can make some batters concerned. For the opposition batsman, Jansen bowling in unison with Malik might be a daunting scenario.
